Determination, intensity and domination embody Vander Pyl's storied athletic career. A 12 letter winner Alisa contributed to every program, every season while attending HCA. Her leadership encompassed all sports and she captained 3 sports for 2 years. Accolades also followed Vander Pyl as she joined the 1000 point club, anchored numerous all-star teams and was a scholar athlete her senior year. As the defender's ace Alisa pitched 11 no hitters while wearing the maroon and gray.

Alisa brought her success to Eastern University where she played both softball and soccer for 4 years. In soccer she was all-conference, scoring 19 goals and 21 assists in her collegiate career. Vander Pyl now fills softball record books at Eastern holding all time records in 8 categories and voted Team MVP in 2002.
