Forgotten Lunches
We provide a bowl of Cheerios as an emergency servlce for students who forget their lunches. This service is not intended for those who don’t like their lunches or who want more to eat. Please pack food that your children will eat and enough to satisfy them. Also, remind them at home and before getting out of the car to take their lunches.
Recess is outdoors
Please dress your children warmly and be sure they each have a hat and a pair of mittens/gloves. We go outside even when it is cold, provided it is not precipitating or bitter cold. We frequently get requests from parents ask ing that their child remain inside for recess. We do not have supervision for indoor recess so we ask that you keep your child home if he or she is not well enough to be outside.
Playground Use
If you are picking up preschool students we ask that you limit their playground play to when school children are not using the equipment. Adding additional children to the class numbers makes it more difficult to adequately supervise for all children’s safety.
After Care Restrictions
Please do not use After Care as an opportunity for your child to stay after school and play with friends who are enrolled in our after school care program. When families allow their children to join the after school care group it increases the number of students and makes it difficult for the supervisors to monitor everyone’s safety. Rules and procedures have been established that must be maintained with consistency to ensure an orderly program.
