Preparing for What Lies Ahead

High School

“The teachers and students are all filled with the love of Christ, and they share His love with others. I am cared for and supported physically, mentally, emotionally, academically, and spiritually at Hawthorne Christian Academy”
Emily O.
High School Student

HCA’s rigorous high school academic programs lays a foundation of fundamental knowledge, strong study habits, and critical thinking skills, while interweaving a biblical worldview. With a wide variety of course offerings, a solid selection of AP classes, and the incorporation of cutting-edge technology, HCA prepares its students for the future and gives them a solid foundation for higher education. HCA partners with parents to guide, encourage, and inspire its students to love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love their neighbor as themselves.

OUR GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT:

Guidance services at Hawthorne Christian Academy are based on Biblical principles that provide the foundation for development in academics, personal integrity, and career maturation. Beginning in middle school and throughout high school, the Guidance Department works closely with the faculty, parents, and students to ensure appropriate placement in classes, whether that be college preparatory, accelerated, and/or AP courses.

The Director of Guidance and ancillary staff is available for consultation with parents, teachers, and other professionals as student concerns arise. While all of the functions of the Guidance Office are important, the individualized college planning process is possible because of our small class sizes and the HCA community, which promotes interpersonal relationships. The Guidance Office oversees and administers parent/student orientation, course selection, student academic records, standardized testing, and the college planning process.
