Preparing for What’s Next
High School

HCA’s comprehensive High School program equips students to serve God now, and prepares them academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually to follow His will in the future. Our rigorous academic program promotes intellectual growth through the development of fundamental knowledge, critical thinking skills, and strong study habits, while intentionally integrating a Biblical worldview. “HCA offers a rigorous academic program with a strong emphasis on college readiness, while also focusing on nurturing and developing the whole child. We want students to thrive and reach their full potential; but above all, we want to point them to Christ and prepare them for wherever God leads.”

HCA Director of Guidance Services
About our
Guidance Department
Guidance services at Hawthorne Christian Academy are based on Biblical principles that provide the foundation for development in academics, personal integrity, and career maturation. Beginning in middle school and throughout high school, the Guidance Department works closely with the faculty, parents, and students to ensure appropriate placement in classes, whether that be college preparatory, accelerated, and/or AP® courses.
The Director of Guidance and ancillary staff is available for consultation with parents, teachers, and other professionals as student concerns arise. While all of the functions of the Guidance Office are important, the individualized college planning process is possible because of our small class sizes and the HCA community, which promotes interpersonal relationships. The Guidance Office oversees and administers parent/student orientation, course selection, student academic records, standardized testing, and the college planning process.
