Mrs. Alektiar has lived in New Jersey for 18 years. Prior to that, she lived in Texas and Michigan. She previously worked as a Medical Physicist in the fields of Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Oncology for 14 years. Part of her responsibilities was to teach undergraduate and graduate students, as well as medical residents, about medical physics and radiation safety.
Mrs. Alektiar substituted for many years at HCA and moderated the online AP Biology class in 2013. She began teaching Anatomy and Physiology in 2014, and started teaching AP Biology in 2017. She has three children, all of whom have attended HCA over the past 13 years. Her hobbies include studying Spanish, traveling, hiking, and working with Hispanic clients at the Lighthouse Pregnancy Resource Center.
