“Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end. Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart. Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight. Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.” – Psalm 119:33-36
A native of the Old Dominion state, Mrs. Lewis became a Garden State resident in 2006, the year she first began teaching at HCA. She has been a teacher since 2001. The sister of eight, mother of two, and wife of Willie enjoys reading, time with friends, great movies, deep conversations, a cup of tea, and learning more about her Lord.
Mrs. Lewis has taught in several capacities for over thirty years, including staff training in business, Sunday school, youth ministry, and Christian education. Her goal as a teacher is to instill a love for learning in her students. Though teaching is indeed a passion, she believes that being a life-long learner is even greater. Students teach teachers everyday. Mrs. Lewis believes that though the student may be small, they too can teach us all.
