Biography

After working in public education (K-12) for 30 years as a teacher and administrator, Mr. Cusmano retired and joined the faculty of Pillar College, where he taught ESL students for five years. During one of those five years, he also taught Spanish part-time at Hawthorne Christian Academy. Mr. Cusmano is overjoyed to be back at HCA teaching Bible 10 and growing with his students in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For the past several years, Mr. Cusmano has also been teaching at the Hawthorne Community Bible School, which he has also been attending for approximately 15 years and from which he has earned a Bible diploma. Mr. Cusmano has spent part of several summers volunteering with various organizations in Israel, including Christ Church in the Old City of Jerusalem. During one of those summers, he taught vacation Bible school, and the school took all of the students as well as their parents and teachers for a field trip to the traditional baptismal site of Jesus on the Jordan River. Now that was an authentic field trip!
